CORE VALUES
INTELLIGENCE
We recognize that our students differ from one another in their capacity to grasp and understand ideas, to adjust to different learning situations, environment and experiences, to develop their intellectual and reasoning skills and to strengthen their ability to overcome life’s challenges. It therefore spells the progress of knowledge acquisition vis-à-vis the realistic conceptualization of the ideal.
CHARACTER
Consider the individualistic genetic characteristics, formation and education. The family, is every individual’s first school where one’s pattern of behaviour is first required. The relational lives of our students has also been influenced by adults, regarded as formators at home, in the Church and in the community. The school carefully assist students in the never-ending processes of unlearning, learning, and re-learning. This, every school constituent is a learner in a functional environmental.
COMPETENCE
A state that spells quality performance whereby the individual applies acquired knowledge and inherent skills and abilities. The school is responsible for the students’ intellectual and academic formation in order for them to become a true parishioner of any parish or religious sect, and better citizens of the country, the present or their future abode. Becoming competent, therefore, is the individual’s effort, as theories may prove useless without praxis.
AUGUSTINIAN PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION
Education is man's journey of knowing God who is the Eternal Truth and of loving Him who is the Eternal Good. To achieve this goal, man's journey restlessly in faith according to the example and teachings of Jesus Christ and through reason which is his natural gift from the Creator.
In the concrete, Augustinian education aims to accompany young men and women who can integrate Faith and Reason in their personal lives in order to arrive at whatever is true and develop moral values to enable them to live in harmony with others.
Through the guidance and example of parents and teachers, the Augustinian pupils or students must became increasingly aware of their responsibilities to fellowmen and readily contribute to the building of just and humane society where the FIlipino people can journey together towards God.
CATHOLIC PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION
The Catholic philosophy of education is logically based on the Catholic philosophy of life which recognizes that every human being has an immortal soul with an eternal destiny, as well as, a mortal body with an earthly existence. Consequently, education to be complete must prepare the individual for his ultimate life and at the same time fit him for a successful career or gainful work as a member of society. These basic principles necessarily determine the nature, objectives and aims of Catholic Education.
